Tom Fischer of Edinburgh USA is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. He is a graduate of Penn State University, one of the nation's leading turfgrass colleges. Continuing education credits are required to maintain certification in the golf course industry. Tom has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association for 32 years. He has held various positions with the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association, including two years as President.
Tom's career began in the Chicago area in the private sector at Evanston Golf Club and Ravinia Green Country Club. At Town & Country Club in St. Paul, he was assistant Superintendent for six years. Before coming to Edinburgh USA, Tom was Superintendent at Voyager Village in Danbury, Wisconsin. In June of 1985, Tom was hired as Superintendent to manage the construction of Edinburgh USA and currently maintains the golf course and clubhouse.
During Tom's tenure, Edinburgh USA has been host to seven LPGA Tournaments and the USGA National Public Links Tournament.
